How long have you been in business?
Our firm was founded in 1984. All of our principal attorneys have been with us for decades, giving the firm a wealth of shared knowledge and experience..
What is your primary product or service?
Legal services, primarily real estate and commercial transactions. We provide services to people engaged in simple transactions like buying or selling a home or apartment as well as developers and business owners involved in complex matters.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Prior to founding Marcus Attorneys, I worked in an executive position in a city economic development agency and in the mayor's office. When I left city government, I founded Marcus Attorneys and a related company, Insite. Insite provides real estate project management services.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are noted for the highly attentive service we provide, for our technical proficiency and for our creative approach to efficiently and effectively producing the best results for our clients.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one convenient location at 13 Greene Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, near the Atlantic Terminal train and subway station.

We are at 13 Greene Avenue, just off Fulton Street, in Brooklyn. The "C" train Lafayette Street stop is at our front door and almost all other subway lines are within 4 blocks.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept all kinds of payments.
Which areas do you service?
We are licensed in New York State and have affiliations with firms in many states and in a number of countries, assuring that we can meet our clients' needs wherever their activities take them.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Jed Marcus is the principal attorney. Philip Lavender and Guillermo Santiago are owners of the law firm.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday except for holidays.
